Yoga in West Ryde

I have attended Sandra's yoga classes since 2015 and I have always felt glad I went even when I didn't feel like going. She has always had a calm, soothing voice and a passion for helping others: the perfect combination for a yoga instructor. I would recommend Sandra's classes for anyone who wants to try yoga for the first time or is an experienced yogi or someone carrying an injury. Sandra will be able to modify the the poses to suit the individual.

I started practicing yoga about 15 years ago when I was attending grad school in Pittsburgh. I was craving something that balanced out all of the running I was doing. I started with a hot power flow and moved onto Hatha and Ashtanga. I found Sandra when I moved to Sydney with my husband and have been with her ever since. I can truly say that she is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She sincerely integrates best practice in anatomy and physiology with yoga. She is for whole-of-life flourishing, not just achieving the best looking pose. My mind and body are very thankful for her.

Sandra offers a warm and inviting space to practise yoga asana. Tucked away in a small art gallery, this studio was truly an unexpected blessing. I attended Flow class which is a slower paced vinyasa style and thoroughly enoyed it. It offered a challenge yet was also restorative. I appreciated Sandra asking if I'd like to be stretched, which shows she is trauma informed/sensitive — a quality not in many yoga teachers. Thank you, Sandra for a wonderful practise to start my Sunday morning.

I love this yoga class. Its a lovely balance of physical and mental challenge as well as deep relaxation and a feeling of peace. Vu is a very kind and patient teacher with good insight into each individual's progress. I like that he is able to modify the sequence to suit each person. Highly recommended!
